Look first. Draw second.

Good pet furniture is developed through observation, household context, material shaping and real-use testing. The work begins with a natural behavior, then considers the whole shared room before the object takes form.

The object is the result. The thinking comes first.

01Observe

Start with behavior, not a product category.

We look for repeated movements and quiet preferences: where a cat stretches, chooses height, follows light or returns to rest.

02Define

Include everything around the main action.

The brief includes placement, cleaning, storage, human touchpoints and the room when the object is not in use.

Design thought in practice

Design what happens after scratching.

The incline scratcher shows how one small observation can become part of a form: corrugated scratching leaves fragments, so the open front tray gives loose debris a defined place to land.
